postheadericon LOTS of ‘Action’ Around the MyTmase Household…

As expected, this year has been busy, busy, busy…so far. And there aren’t any signs of letting up, anytime soon. With the wife ‘due’ in about 4 weeks, the construction on the nursery has hit full swing. If it weren’t for a few friends, it probably wouldn’t be as close to completion as it is – keyword is ‘close’ there…which means, it’s not done yet. My original goal was to have it done and furniture moving in by last week…of course, as a project manager, by day, I know all about scope creep and change orders around the office – turns out, personal life/projects aren’t immune to that, and hence coming on 2 weeks past the original deadline. On paper, you’ll read 8 cashes in 30 events, 4 of which were final table finishes…the bank account recorded a gross of about $25k…and the ‘close, but no cigar’ comes into play with the 3 (three) 2nd place finishes (2 of which were ‘chopped’). Poker-wise, there are a lot of players out there who would probably jump at the chance to trade places with my results…and money-wise, well – I paid some bills; just didn’t buy a house, this time. (LoL) Considering I’m not a full-time poker player, I can’t really complain much about the results on the felt… Read the rest of this entry »
